The maximum number of applications have been received at this time

WRITER Foundation was formed from a generous contribution from Sony/ATV Music Publishing, which has allowed us to create this grant program to help songwriters/composers experiencing financial hardship during the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Additional contributions have been provided by: Concord Music, Frost Specialty Inc., Musicnotes and its employees, Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp, Troy Verges

Who Qualifies

Any professional American songwriter/composer who is currently experiencing financial hardship directly attributable to the Coronavirus Pandemic can apply for a $1,000 grant payable directly to the applicant which can be used to pay qualifying essential bills which include:

  • Rent or Mortgage payments
  • Monthly Insurance premiums
  • Monthly Utility payments including water, gas electric, phone and internet
  • Car or Car Repair payments
  • Medical Bills

We ask you to respect these qualifying essential needs, knowing that many in our community are experiencing major hardships at this time and this donation is intended for those who need it most.

Applications will be carefully reviewed and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the program's funds are depleted. Our web system puts each registrant into a queue where we see who is first, second, etc. We will use this system to determine the order of the applications received when we go live with receiving applications.
